GACG – Global Anti-Counterfeiting Group

GACG is the international network of national and regional IP protection and enforcement organisations. There are currently 23 Members covering more than 50 Countries. The main objectives are to co-ordinate members’ international activities, share best practices and information, and to participate in appropriate joint activities to solve international IPR enforcement challenges. GACG is an official observer at the WIPO Advisory Committee on Enforcement and GACG members are leading participants in the EU Observatory on IP Infringements; GACG works with UNICRI – the United Nations Inter-regional Crime and Justice Research Institute –mainly research and training on organised criminal involvement in IP crime – and with the WCO; Interpol and other UN and EU agencies including WTO, WHO, EUIPO, and EPO.
