The European Footwear Confederation (CEC) is the main voice of the European Footwear Industry, incorporating the major national footwear associations of the EU. CEC’s mission is to promote the right environment and conditions for European footwear manufacturing to thrive and become more competitive and innovative. In 2016, the industry reached 27 million euros turnover and directly employed 300.000 manufacturing workers. From 2009 to 2017, European players saw the rise of their products’ export price to non-EU countries by 113%, while their exports’ volume increased by 48%.
